I had scoliosis back surgery in 2006, and I was wondering how much all that stuff weighs. I had 2 metal rods and about 30 screws. And of course the cadaver bone to fuse it and stuff. I want to know how much all that weighs so I can figure out my percent body fat and stuff, but mostly just because I’m curious. Thanks!

I had to have hip replacement when I was fairly young and I called the doctor’s office a year later to ask what kind of metal they used, and how much it weighed (because I wanted to know how much was metal and how much was fat when I weighed myself).
They called me back a couple of days later and told me. It’s no big deal to them, and legally they have to provide you with the information if you ask.
